Just spent a night at Gran Cruz House, and the river view from my room was absolutely stunning! The breakfast was spot-on, with perfectly cooked eggs. Nice spot, but the street noise could get a bit much at night. an awesome stay!

The music from the nearby bars can become overwhelmingly loud, starting around noon and lasting until 11 pm, making it tough to relax in the room. a coffee or tea maker was notably missing, which felt underwhelming given the accommodation costs. For those needing restful sleep, the surrounding noise might be a crucial factor to consider.

The dining experience at Gran Cruz House was top-notch, with an amazing breakfast offering fresh, local ingredients that set us up for the day. The convenient location meant we could easily stroll to nearby gems like Postigo do Carvao for some delightful local dishes. The staff really struck a chord with their warm hospitality, always ready to assist with our needs.

While the lively atmosphere is infectious, be prepared for some evening revelries. We had a blast despite a few late-night chuckles and tunes echoing until 2 am! the trek from the drop-off point to the hotel over cobblestones might have you feeling a bit like a local adventurer.

My stay at this boutique hotel was made truly special by its fantastic proximity to many landmarks, as I enjoyed easy walks to the stunning Porto Cathedral just about 500 meters away and the beautiful Jardins do Palacio de Cristal roughly 2 km away, making every stroll a delightful mix of city and nature that I will cherish.

The Deluxe Double or Twin Room with City View was spotlessly clean with a comfy large bed that made it easy to relax after sightseeing. I loved waking up to the amazing views of the Douro River. The shower had great water pressure, which was a nice perk. Just a heads up, there was a bit of noise from the street during the day and evening, which might be distracting if you’re looking for a super quiet stay.

Sparkling clean room, great breakfast, comfortable bed, and a wonderful view of the Douro River from the Vintage room made my stay truly enjoyable.

It was just an optimal selection for a brief weekend stay in Porto with good value for money. The shower had fantastic water pressure, making my morning routine a delight. Keep in mind that noise from nearby venues can be a bit much at night.

Free wi-fi worked well, and the bar area was cozy. No pets allowed though.
